Cooper: Week 1

We have spent the last seven days simply staring in awe at this precious baby boy. We are overwhelmed by the amount of love that instantly appeared upon his arrival - our hearts are bubbling over! We are so very, very blessed.

COOPER LIKES:

Being cuddled.

Riding in the car seat.

Milk.
This picture is a prime example of "milk coma."

Going on walks. We took a picture of our first walk, but Momma very selfishly refuses to post it as Daddy should have told her that her shirt was wayyyyy to tight!

Hanging out with Uncle Awesome.
COOPER DOES NOT LIKE:

Diaper changes.
Being hungry for more than one second.
Bath time.
Visiting the pediatrician.

MOMMY'S FAVORITE PICTURE
OF THE WEEK:

*Little cuddle bug was so happy sleeping against my leg*

WEEK 1 HAPPENINGS:

Leaving the hospital!

Being born was Cooper's biggest accomplishment of the week. (Birth story coming soon!)

Day 3: Attended LifeChurch with Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Awesome, Pops and Gabby (or whatever names my parents eventually decide on... yes, they are STILL debating!) Cooper was a perfect little angel and didn't make a single peep through the entire service.

Day 4: Went in for a consultation with the wonderful lactation specialist, Karen, at the hospital and Cooper weighed in at 8 pounds 3 ounces. The average four day old baby consumes approximately 30-40 grams of milk per feeding, our big boy took down a solid 50 grams! We have an eater folks!

Day 5: Ran errands with mommy and met her friends from the law school for lunch!

Day 7: Had our first appointment with the pediatrician. Cooper did not enjoy himself one bit. Baby boy HATES to be naked and first thing they did was strip him down and weigh him - he screamed like a wild child and didn't stop for the rest of the appointment. He had gained a few more ounces back and weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces. Minus the absolute screaming fit, the appointment went great and Cooper checked out healthy as can be!
