Cooper: Week 31

COOPER LIKES:

BBQ.
Baby boy crushed some a-mazing barbeque in Kansas City...
Pops has never been more proud!

Crawling.

Staring at the people of Walmart.
Typically Cooper looks at people and just smiles until they smile back.
Not this time.
He turned all the way around, mouth wide open in awe of the "Mountain Man" in front of us in the check out line. I tried to distract him, but got no where... Mountain Man went on to pull out a flask and throw one back which was when Mommy joined Cooper and stared with my jaw dropped too! And to think I was worrying about taking Cooper in without his shoes on...

Being 7 months old!

Singing in the car.
This child is so vocal! He talks, sings, yells and laughs randomly while admiring himself in the backseat mirror. Haha - crazy kid!

Visiting his cousin Henry.
It could be debated if this picture should go under the like or dislike category. He likes Henry, but he wasn't a huge fan of sharing his Mommy.

COOPER DOES NOT LIKE:

Crawling.
He goes from being really happy to over it in about 2.5 seconds.

WEEK 31 HAPPENINGS:

Day 211: Before heading home we decided to try out the famous barbecue in Kansas City... Oh. My. Lanta. It was a-mazing! If you are ever in KC drive directly to Jack Stack Barbecue and order the Crown Prime Rib (it's literally ONE rib and it'll fill you up!!) with the cheesy potato bake and hickory pit beans. Holey Moley! We all cleaned our plates, but Cooper put us all to shame. That sweet boy ate and ate and ate and ate and then had to be basically bathed in the bathroom sink! Look how tight his little shirt got! He killed it.

Day 212: Cooper and I ended up staying with Gabby and Pops one more night so that I could knock a few things off our lake house to do list. We were soooo pleased with the progress! LOTS more pictures coming soon!

Day 213: We finally got home to our Daddy! Man we had been missing him!! Cooper modeled some of his new clothes so Daddy could see what we bought on our trip and then he spent the evening browsing through a few house magazines... Mommy has a little copy cat!

Day 214: We stayed home allllll day and enjoyed every minute of it! We stayed in our jammies, did some laundry and worked on our crawling. It was a good day!

Day 215: We took a quick trip to Wal-mart for some groceries and then Cooper surprised us by successfully eating with a fork! Who knew that he had this trick up his little tiny sleeve?! We load the fork and sit it on his tray and he picks it right up and put it straight into his mouth. This little man is very good at watching us and imitating!

Day 216: One of Gabby's great friends, Sandy, has moved to OKC and takes care of her precious granddaughter, Ainslee, during the day. Sandy very sweetly invited us to join them at the Library for reading time! This was the first time that Cooper attended a "class" without me being directly involved by either participating, helping him or letting his sit in my lap. He didn't seem to miss me one bit! I sat him on the mat by Ainslee and he sat perfectly still and content and very seriously, watched the lady who read the book. I'm not too sure how I feel about my baby acting like such a big boy!

Day 217: We made a quick trip to Norman to treat our friends, Jackson and his mommy, Kristen to a birthday breakfast! We had one seriously yummy breakfast and our two little cuties kept us (and the rest of the restaurant) entertained! After we finished eating we went on a mad dash shopping trip looking for a piece of furniture for the lake house... we didn't find what we were looking for and Mommy was feeling a little overwhelmed so Cooper and I took a little sushi break. Sushi makes everything better! After lunch we headed back to the house, packed it all up and hit the road back to Gabby and Pops so Daddy could cover the hospital for the weekend. Whew, that was one jammed packed day!
