WEEK 24 HAPPENINGS:
Busy boy.
Always moving, reaching, stretching, exploring.
Happy, happy, happy.
I can't get enough of the face he makes when concentrating.
He takes it all in.
Thumb sucking, despite my best efforts.
Hand always opened, fist never closes.
Perfectly precious.
Day 162: Cooper and Mommy went to my hometown to attend a family friend's funeral. Cooper stayed with Gigi and Coach during the ceremony and he had a great time playing and being entertained... until nap time hit and he decided he might be starving to death... fun over.
That evening we went to cheer on our big cousin Denver at his basketball tournament. Apparently Cooper wasn't too into it, as he promptly went to sleep once the game started - first time to sleep through a basketball game!
Day 163: Cooper, Mommy and Gabby got up extra early and headed to Tulsa so that Mommy could cash in one of her Christmas presents - a photography class! (I'll be making a quick post about the class soon as it was great fun and very informative - everybody should take it!) Cooper and Gabby shopped while Mommy was doing her best to soak it all in... they were having so much fun they were half an hour late to pick me up! We ran a few errands and grabbed dinner before getting back on the road. We were sooo happy to get to see our favorite girl, Evie Jane, for a quick second! She was pretty pumped to see her "bes fren Coop-ah"until the queso came out and then she moved on to bigger and better things! Ha!
Day 164: Our big boy took his first shower - he wasn't too sure about it, but enjoyed playing peek-a-boo through the steamy glass.
Day 165: Boomer Sooner!! The entire family came to Norman and helped us cheer on the Sooners to a HUGE Bedlam victory! Woohoo! The game was a white out - even Gabby wore the t-shirt! Apparently her love of Zac trumped her undying loyalty to her alma mater OSU... I mean I went to college at OU for seven years and yet it only took one semester for Zac to get her to switch sides. Anyway, it was a great nail biter ball game and Cooper loved every second of it! Cooper wore his ear phones for the first time and didn't seem to mind them one bit - never pulled at them a single time - but he did seem a bit confused as he could tell we were talking to him and people were cheering but he heard nothing. Honestly it was pretty funny.
Day 166: After a LATE night at the game and then yoga and music class - this little man was worn smooth out!! This mommy could not love those lips and lashes a single bit more...
Day 167: Mommy was feeling under the weather so we had a little family snuggle time in bed. It was one of those mornings when we slowed down and really took time to be thankful for all the wonderful blessings God has given us - one small squirmy one in particular.
Day 168: Headed east a little early for the weekend so Daddy could work at the hospital. I'm pretty sure Cooper thinks Duncan (our lab) is a horse... Horse or dog - Cooper really likes him!
The pictures below are just very "Cooper" if that makes a bit of sense. I specifically asked for the Mamarrazi class so that I could do a better job capturing all of Cooper's little Cooper-isms. I am in every aspect of the word, an amateur photographer, but I want to learn! I want to be better! So, lucky you, you get to see all my practice rounds... my apologies for the photo overload, but every little movement captured is a memory that I can hold some day when my little boy isn't a little boy anymore. So this momma is going to keep on snapping!
