Cooper: Week 17

COOPER LIKES:

Scout - Uncle Awesome's puppy
Cooper and Scout are best buddies! Scout is such a precious puppy - he is so patient and gentle with Cooper. We couldn't ask for a better watch dog for our sweet boy.

The progression of the next three pictures makes me laugh every time!!

Cooper was resting on the floor and Scout just came over and cuddled with him.

My favorite Scout picture of the week...
I was up working late into the night and Scout disappeared.
I found him laying on Cooper's rug just watching his crib.
If Cooper made a sound, Scout would come get me!

COOPER DOES NOT LIKE:

Being sick... even if he does get to sleep with Mommy and Daddy.

His little snow suit.
Even though the tag says 3-6 months, our Cooper was too long for it!
We squeezed him in anyway, but he did not like it one bit!

MOMMY'S FAVORITE
PICTURE OF THE WEEK:

Aunt Lyndsey ran into Santa and asked him to send Cooper a video telling him what a good boy he had been... and he did! He said Cooper's name and showed the picture of the OU jumbotron when Cooper was on it!
Baby boy was mesmerized! It was soooo adorable watching him stare in awe of Santa.
Thanks Aunt Lyndsey for helping spread the magic of Santa!

WEEK 17 HAPPENINGS:

Day 113: Scout came to visit for a few days! Uncle Awesome had to travel to DC with the basketball team so our favorite puppy came to stay with us. He was such a good dog - despite all the tempting Christmas ornaments. He didn't bother a single one! Cooper was completely entertained by Scout! Oh and it snowed... like, a LOT!

Cooper was not too sure about the cold, bright, white substance covering the ground. By "not too sure" I mean he pretty much hated it. But Scout, on the other hand, was in energetic puppy Heaven!

Unfortunately for Scout, Cooper's crying trumped the dog's pure joy so we came back in the house. Instead of playing in the snow we settled for snowman pajamas and cuddling while watching movies! Pretty good day, I must admit!

Day 114: To say the Sooner's Bedlam victory was unexpected would be an understatement! Cooper wore his cute little crimson football outfit and we all huddled around the tv to cheer on our Sooners! Boy were we elated when our team came home with the "W"!

Day 115: Cooper looked like such a little man this week! We enjoyed another week at LifeChurch and then Cooper played with Grammy while Mommy & Daddy went to the Thunder game with their small group friends.

Day 116: Cooper had been feeling under the weather for the past few days and had run a temperature off and on. Well this specific day he stayed at 101.5 despite a dose of baby Tylenol, he screamed every time he tried to eat (and this boy hates to miss a meal!) and overall just acted very lethargic so Daddy sent us to visit the pediatrician... Sweet boy had strep throat! Such a big boy illness for our little babe. He took his medicine like a champ and enjoyed checking out the new tree in his room!

Day 117: Since we were quarantined at the house, Cooper and I got to work knocking out some super fun chores (Note: Obvious sarcasm). My baby boy is so very helpful doing laundry! He loves to ride in the laundry basket!

Cooper meeting "Uncle Randy" for the first time

Not surprising, Cooper took Santa very serious. No smiles from our big boy who looked back and forth from the jolly ol' Saint Nick to his crazy parents who were doing our best song and dance to coax a smile! No such luck, but at least he didn't cry!

Day 118: Story time... A few weeks before our first Christmas as a married couple, Brandon introduced me to North Pole City - an incredible Christmas store in OKC. I am a HUGE fan of Christmas decor and he knew I would love the store. As I took in all the beautiful, gigantic trees and decorations and gingerbread decor and Christmas villages and so on, I came across the Radko wall. I have been collecting Christopher Radko ornaments since I graduated high school and I am quite sure I stood in front of their giant display with my mouth wide open... and that is when we met the man we fondly call "Uncle Randy." Uncle Randy is the Radko guru at North Pole City and his kind small talk led to an instant friendship. It would be an understatement to say that Uncle Randy "collects" Radko ornaments... Uncle Randy might as well be Christopher Radko himself! In the past three years, we have developed a wonderful friendship that Brandon and I truly cherish. Last year, I was having morning sickness and slept in the car while Brandon went in to pick out our Radko ornament for the year (one of my favorite traditions!)... before we had even told our parents we were expecting Brandon couldn't control his excitement and spilt the beans to Uncle Randy! So this year was extra special as we were able to introduce our precious Cooper to sweet Randy... who of course had an adorable Christopher Radko sock monkey ornament all wrapped up for the little Prince AND introduced Cooper to Santa! We could not be more appreciative to have made such a special and dear friend.

Day 119: Cooper was the ultimate trooper as Mommy did some last minute Christmas shopping. The poor little man rode patiently in his stroller while we knocked out our stops at the mall and cooperated nicely as I drug him in and out of the carseat to run into stores all across town. Eventually he crashed... and there wasn't a line to visit Santa... and since it is his first Christmas... and since first Christmases only happen once... We took one more sweet picture with Santa! (Mommy will be a little more self controlled next year!)
