Cooper: Week 20

COOPER LIKES:

Driving his new Ferrari.
"Driving" is very relative as he has not yet figured out how to make the little walker actually move, but he sure likes chewing on it and watching the lights!

Watching our cousins Haley & Maggie on GMA.
The girls went to NYC for New Years and we got to watch them on Good Morning America!
The new meteorologist, Ginger, used Haley for an illustration and everything!

COOPER DOES NOT LIKE:

Being sick.
Even when he doesn't feel good, he's a good baby, but his Momma sure hates it!

MOMMY'S FAVORITE
PICTURE OF THE WEEK:

First kiss from Cooper!

I went 90, he went 110!

WEEK 20 HAPPENINGS:

Day 134: Family pictures! Well, it was an absolute miracle - we got a family picture with NO crying babies! When Brandon's older brother, Chris, and his family came to home for the holidays it was decided that a family picture needed to happen. We were all more than a little skeptical that we would be able to pull it off with two 4 month olds, an 8 month old and Brooks, the oldest, coming in at a year and a half - but this photographer was good and with a little dancing and some crazy noises magic happened! We are so happy to have this photo of the first time all these tiny cousins were together!

Day 135: Next up was Christmas with Grandpa Larry! All the King boys came to our house for a fun night of Christmas with their dad. Grandpa was hoping to have his new house complete by this Christmas, but it didn't quite make it. We were happy to have an excuse to keep the Christmas trees up a little longer, so it worked out great!

Day 136: LifeChurch and lunch with Uncle Awesome...

Day 137: OU Basketball with Pops, Gabby, Mommy and Daddy! Another night at the ol' Lloyd Noble... The first picture was taken during half time when they did a light show to the sound of Christmas carols - Cooper was mesmerized! The other picture was just cute so I couldn't pass it up!

Day 138: New Year's Eve was quite an eventful day for the King family! Brandon had to work that morning so Pops and Mommy ran to grab breakfast while Cooper and Gabby hung out at the house. Well, needless to say, breakfast never quite made it home as we got a little sidetracked by the grand opening of Dairy Queen! We were just driving to Chickfila and saw that the line wasn't too long so we whipped in and got in line - the first 100 customers to buy an ice cream cake receive a free cheeseburger once a week for an entire year! Guess who was number 95 and 96?! That would be Pops and Mommy! Super random, but it was fun!

When Daddy got home from work all the adults sat around the dining room table and watched Pops draw up the house plans for our new house! Residency is quickly coming to an end and the little King Clan will be moving to eastern Oklahoma in just a few months! We are in the process of purchasing a new house and then we (read: Pops and his crew) will be doing a COMPLETE overhaul on the place! We couldn't be more excited!

That night Cooper hung out with Pops and Gabby so Mommy and Daddy could go on a hot date to ring in the New Year! We enjoyed dinner and a movie in the Balcony of the Warren Theater and made it home to kiss the baby boy at midnight! Perfect!

Day 139: We tried our hardest to cheer on Aunt Lyndsey's Hawkeyes, but unfortunately Iowa just couldn't get the job done in the Outback Bowl. This is most likely the one and only time you will see my son in any college team's gear other than OU so we felt the need to document it. Then that night the yucky stuff hit our house and Cooper and Daddy were under the weather... No fun at all!

Day 140: We didn't take any pictures because we were way too busy going crazy over the Sooners winning the Sugar Bowl! We must admit, we didn't see it coming! We enjoyed watching the game with Pops and Gabby at the Lodge - until the cable decided to turn itself off with two minutes left in the fourth quarter! Shoot me. Thankfully, we were able to get things back up and running without missing too much. It's always a good night when you beat Alabama!! Boomer Sooner!
